I am excited to continue my journey into establishing more culturally sensitive educational environments in educational settings. I am looking forward to learning more about what bilingual/multilingual children and their families might need in order to ensure their inclusion and success in our schools.
I hope you will visit my blog often and I look forward to your comments:)!

Love the quote. It is catchy and so right for describing differences in everyone. Awesome play on words Nicollette. In my previous teaching experiences, I have found that bilingual/multilingual students and families like familiarity. Moreover, they like to see things and people which they can relate.
ReplyDeleteThank you Regenia for your comments and suggestions! I agree that real pictures and people help us to understand each other better.

I was really inspired by your passion to help children connect with their cultures. I am a firm believer that classrooms need to support multicultural backgrounds of students. I currently teach an inclusion class with ESOL learners, and I try really hard to come up with ways to address cultural differences and celebrate all cultural backgrounds. Maybe you can give me some ideas on ways that I can do this? I would really appreciate it! Have a wonderful week!
